Human Resource Manager 
Huntsville, AL

Ethic Tech is seeking a qualified HR professional that has demonstrated skills and experience in working with DoD contracts. This position encompasses a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of day-to-day activities in human resources.

Specific Duties:

  • Member of the Ethic Tech, LLC Huntsville, Alabama leadership team
  • HR support for 50+ employees, managers and other leaders. Responsible for handling all aspects of the HR function
  • Manages benefits and enrollment for all employees
  • Manage health and welfare benefits for SCA/CBA employees
  • Lead recruiting, candidate selection, and employee retention
  • Identifies and ensures legal compliance with various governmental laws and regulations affecting the human resource function. Monitors exposure of the company. Manages the preparation of information requested or required for compliance.
  • Administers policies and procedures for employment, placement, termination and employee transfers. Ensures the consistent and equitable application of organization policies and procedures.
  • Takes appropriate actions to address and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Files EEO-1 annually, maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Responds to unemployment claims and attends appeals hearings.
  • Coordinate new hire process including initial communication with future employees, new hire paperwork, set up on-boarding schedules
  • Verify I-9 documentation and maintain records to achieve compliance
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews and audit of HR Systems' records to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
  • Regularly communicate benefit/wellness and general informational updates to employees in support of key activities
  • Track alerts and monitor company social media pages. Utilize social media for job postings and to search for job candidates.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Resources; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+years Human Resource experience with a DoD contractor and SCA/CBA contracts
  • Unanet experience preferred
  • SHRM certification desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in employee relations, compensation, leadership coaching and change management.
  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Strategic; good professional presence; strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiar with Outlook.
  • Must be able to attain and hold up to a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Some travel may be required
